Upasana Singh was on 27th October elected president of the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association for 2026-29 at the first meeting of its executive committee elected in September. Sahila Chadha was elected senior vice president, and Vikas Verma, vice president. Nagma Morarji was elected treasurer. Deepak Parashar, Kunickaa Sadanand and Varsha Usgaonkar were elected general secretary, senior joint secretary and joint secretary respectively.
The other elected members of the executive committee are: Feroz Khan (Arjun), Shehzad Khan, Nimai Bali, Ramakant Borude, Manish Kumar Chaturvedi, Armaan Tahil, Sapan Kumar Bhattacharya and Ramkumar Singh.
The office-bearers were elected more than a month after elections of the executive committee because the Bombay high court had directed that the results of the elections not be acted upon or given effect to until October 26 or such time as the Notice of Motion was decided by the city civil court at Dindoshi, Andheri, Bombay. The city civil court heard and decided the matter on October 21.
Poonam Dhillon and Padmini Kolhapure had on behalf of CINTAA challenged the executive committee elections of September but the court did not grant them relief.
