The BJP decision to field Sunny Deol from the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha constituency has upset Kavita Khanna, the widow of late star-MP Vinod Khanna, because she was expecting the BJP to field her from there. Union minister Vinod Khanna had been an MP four times.
Kavita Khanna said, she felt betrayed when she heard about Sunny’s nomination. Vinod Khanna’s widow had been meeting the public and party workers in Gurdaspur for the past seven weeks in the hope that she would be BJP’s candidate for that seat.
