Erstwhile Union leader Prem Singh Thakur breathed his last today (2nd July). He was suffering from paralysis. He used to be an active member of the Film Studios Setting & Allied Mazdoor Union (FSSAMU) and did a lot for the cause of junior artistes and film labourers.
Prem Singh Thakur started his career as a spot boy and some years later, he started working for Mithun Chakraborty. He then joined the FSSAMU and played a very proactive role as Union leader.
His funeral was held today at 4 p.m. at the Amboli crematorium at Andheri in Bombay.
