The government of Maharashtra has removed the condition that required mandatory membership of the Akhil Bharatiya Chitrapat Mahamandal to avail of film subsidy in the state. Previously, only producers who were members of the ABMCM were eligible for the subsidy.
However, as per the Maharashtra government’s letter dated October 11, 2024, producers are required to be members of any recognised producers’ association, and not specifically the ABMCM, to qualify for subsidies under the policy. Therefore, all members of the IMPPA are eligible for the subsidy.
