A special court in Bombay on October 18 rejected the bail plea of Vickykumar Gupta, one of the two accused who fired several rounds at the balcony of actor Salman Khan’s residence at Bandra in Bombay in April this year at the behest of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. It said that the confessional statement and other evidence clearly demonstrated that the duo, along with other wanted accused and the leader of the gang, conspired to kill the victim. The court added, “Even the screenshot photographs of both accused captured in CCTV footage while proceeding on a bike are placed on record… The transcript in respect of call recording between accused no. 1 (Vickykumar Gupta) and wanted accused Anmol Bishnoi, these accused… committed these acts.”
