BUMPER START TO BOTH DIWALI RELEASES, ‘SINGHAM AGAIN’ AND ‘BHOOL BHULAIYAA 3’

Both the Diwali releases may have opened to only fair houses yesterday (November 1) but collections picked up phenomenally as the day progressed. SINGHAM AGAIN performed better than BHOOL BHULAIYAA 3, as was expected. SINGHAM AGAIN netted around Rs. 40 crore on the first day while BHOOL BHULAIYAA 3 managed Rs. 32 crore (excluding bulk bookings by interested parties). The public reports of the action multi-starrer are also superior to those of the horror-comedy.

Bandaa Singh Chaudhary was a non-starter. It fared poorly in the first week.

Navras Katha Collage cut a sorry picture in 1st week all over, recording disastrous collections.

Venom: The Last Dance (dubbed and the original English versions) did well in the first weekend but collections dropped quite markedly after that. The dull pre-Diwali days took their toll on the film. After a Thursday net collection total of Rs. 4.20 crore, the film collected Rs. 5.15 crore on Friday, Rs. 5.75 crore on Saturday and Rs. 5.50 crore on Sunday. Therefore, the total for the first 4-day weekend was Rs. 20.60 crore. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 3.25 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.75 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 2.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2.50 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 11 crore. In this way, the total for the first week was Rs. 31.60 crore.

The Wild Robot (animation, dubbed and the original English versions) dropped more than 50% in the second week. It collected about Rs. 2.10 crore in 2nd week, taking its grand total for 2 weeks to Rs. 7.35 crore.

Jigra is breathing its last. It netted only Rs. 2.50 crore in 3rd week, taking its grand total for 3 weeks to Rs. 31.10 crore.

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is in its last lap. Collections in the third week totalled Rs. 4.25 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 40.50 crore.

The A.I. Dharma Story (Marathi) could not do anything much in the first week in Maharashtra.

Gaarud (Marathi) fared poorly in 1st week all over Maharashtra.

Karmayogi Abasaheb (Marathi) failed miserably in the first week in Maharashtra.

Hahacar (Gujarati) continued its victory march in 2nd week too in Gujarat and Saurashtra.
