A fire broke out in the studio of Rajshri Productions on the second floor of Poonam Chambers at Worli in Bombay around noon on December 15. It took the firefighters more than three hours to extinguish the fire. No casualty was reported. The studio is located on the second floor of the ‘B’ wing of the six-storey building and spans approximately 12,000 sq. ft.
Since it was a Sunday, the building — which primarily has commercial offices — had limited occupancy. The glass facade of the building caused smoke to get trapped. The staff of Rajshri reached the studio on learning of the fire which was confined to the second floor.
