Popular playback singer of Malayalam films, P. Jayachandran, passed away at a private hospital in Thrissur on 9th January. He had reportedly been undergoing treatment for cancer.
P. Jayachandran was a prolific singer, having lent his voice to more than 16,000 songs across languages. He had bagged the National Award for best male playback singer in 1986.
