Television actor Anuj Sachdeva was allegedly assaulted with a stick by a neighbour on December 14 over a parking space dispute in his residential complex at Goregaon West in Bombay. An FIR was lodged after he complained to the Bangur Nagar police.
According to the complaint, 40-year-old Anuj took his dog out for a walk after dinner around 10.30 p.m. and noticed that a car had been parked outside the designated space in the complex. He took a photo of the car and shared it on the housing society’s WhatsApp group. After 15 minutes, the alleged car owner approached him and said, he wouldn’t move the car. When Anuj’s dog began to bark at the person, Anuj asked his friend (who was with him) to take the dog away. With the dog gone, the person grabbed a stick in a fit of anger and allegedly hit the actor on the head, back and right leg soon after the dog and the friend left. He is alleged to have also issued threats to the actor. Following an alarm raised by the friend, the watchman rushed in and the alleged attacker left in his car.
Anuj told the police that his dog barked because he sensed that he (Anuj) was in danger.
