BIG NAMES BACK ‘DUG DUG’, SET FOR RELEASE IN MAY | 23 April, 2026

After a widely acclaimed run in the global festival circuit, filmmaker Ritwik Pareek’s comedy mystery satire, Dug Dug, is headed for release in India on May 8. It is being backed by Anurag Kashyap, Nikhil Advani, Vikramaditya Motwane and Vasan Bala as executive producers.

(L. to R.) Anurag Kashyap, Nikhil Advani, Vikramaditya Motwane, Vasan Bala and Ritwik Pareek.

Inspired by true events, the film follows a bizarre phenomenon in a village where a deceased man’s motorcycle is believed to grant wishes if devotees pray to it and offer alcohol. The belief soon snowballs into a full-blown, commercialised religion.

The film is produced by Bottle Rocket Pictures, led by Prerna Pareek and Ritwik Pareek. It will be released in India in association with Ranjan Singh’s Flip Films.
