Lyricist and CBFC chairperson Prasoon Joshi has been appointed chairperson of Prasar Bharati, the I & B ministry announced on May 2.
Joshi, who had been serving as the CBFC chairperson since 2017, stepped down from that post before assuming office as the Prasar Bharati chief. He served as CBFC chairperson for a little less than nine years.
