Dream Warrior Pictures’ Tamil film, Karuppu, which is yet to be released, was unauthorisedly downloaded by Qube Cinema Technologies and screened in some cinemas of North India recently. Of course, the screenings were without any permission as the film, starring Suriya, Trishna Krishnan and others, and directed by R.J. Balaji, is scheduled for release today (May 15) all over the world in 3,000 screens.
The producers have alleged that due to the illegal screenings, visuals, scenes, clips and other copyrighted portions from the film have been illegally recorded, accessed and circulated through social media platforms and digital media.
