In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(1) of the Cinematograph Act, 1952, read with rule 3 of the Cinematograph (Certification) Rules, 2024, the Central government has reconstituted the Central Board of Film Certification with immediate effect for a period of three years. The new Board consists of the following members:
Vinod Anupam, Manoj Joshi, Abhishek Jain, Ricky Kej, Priyadarshan, Sunil Shetty, Hansraj Hans, Supriya Yarlagadda, Yatindra Mishra, Roopali Ganguly, Preity Zinta, Nila Madhab Panda, Pankaj Tripathi, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Pallavi Joshi, Nishigandha Wad, Waman Kendre and Ramesh Patange.
An announcement of the reconstituted Board was made by the I & B ministry on September 16.
