Plans have been finalized to restore and revamp Bombay’s iconic Capitol Cinema which opened in 1879. The Mumbai Heritage Conservation Committee (MHCC) has given its go-ahead to the revival plan, which will see the heritage structure house a 210-seat single-screen cinema and a commercial retail space. While the cinema will be spread across 264 sq. metres, the retail space will occupy 316 sq. metres.
