The trailer of Balaji Telefilms’ Dream Girl was released yesterday and it has already become the talk of the trade. Ayushmann Khurrana plays a call centre employee who speaks in a feminine voice, in the film. Not just that, his character also plays female roles in stage plays. Like, for instance, he enacts Sita in the local dramatisation of the Ramayana. Obviously, the film is designed as a comedy. And the humour quotient comes out loud and clear in the film’s first trailer.
Ayushmann has been choosing his films very intelligently. And if the trailer of Dream Girl is anything to go by, he seems to have made yet another brilliant selection. The trade people are gung-ho about the trailer and are quite looking forward to the film which is scheduled to hit the screens on 13th September. Looks like, the National Award-winning hero has one more ace up his sleeve.
