PAKISTAN SEIZING INDIAN FILM DVDs | 17 August, 2019

Pakistan has now launched a crackdown on sale of CDs and DVDs of Indian films in the country. This follows its decision to ban Indian films and other content in Pakistan after the revocation by the Indian government of the special status of Jammu & Kashmir. The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) had earlier banned the airing of advertisements featuring Indian artistes and those of India-made products.

Indian television channels and content are also banned since October 2018, on directions of the Pakistan Supreme Court.
