JAI CHHATHI MAA | 13 April, 2019

Released last week in Delhi-U.P. and Bengal, Shining Screens’ Jai Chhathi Maa is a devotional.

Murari Sinha’s script is as old as the hills. His direction is also poor.

Ravi Kishan does fairly well. Gurleen Chopra is so-so. Preeti Jhangiani’s performance is average. Sheetal Kale, Rahul Jain and the others provide poor support.

Nayan Mani and Dushyant Dubey’s music is weak. Amitabh Ranjan’s songs are hardly exciting. Pintu K. Dholaniya’s camerawork is poor. Editing (Rishu Kumar Singh) leaves plenty to be desired.

On the whole, Jai Chhathi Maa is a disastrous fare.
