Not many may be aware that in the face of opposition of a big multi-star cast film like Housefull 4, a Tamil film — Bigil — opened wonderfully well yesterday (October 25). Although Bigil opened in limited screens and managed to get very few shows in the multiplexes, the craze for the Vijay starrer was evident because even a 7 a.m. show at Ashok Anil Miraj multiplex at Ulhasnagar (a distant Bombay suburb) on Friday recorded around 70% collections.
While Bigil debuted on 704 UFO screens, Housefull 4 released in 1,829 UFO screens. Made In China got 1,162 screens of the network while Saand Ki Aankh had to remain content with only 717 UFO screens.
