RAJ MEHTA’S BAIL APPLICATION REJECTED | 6 April, 2019

A sessions court in Bombay this week refused to grant bail to Raj Mehta, father of Dhilin Mehta, prime accused in the Rs. 824-crore Ashtavinayak Cine Vision scam. Raj Mehta, who approached the court for bail for the fourth time, claimed that he had spent the last four years in jail and added that since he had lost his passport, he couldn’t flee the country. The judge said, a lost passport does not mean that one can’t flee. The court rejected Raj Mehta’s bail plea once again.
