KKR EMPLOYEE CAUGHT FOR CHEATING | 25 January, 2020

A. Singh, an employee of Shah Rukh Khan’s Knight Riders Sports Pvt. Ltd. which owns the Kolkata Knight Riders IPL team, has been booked by the police for allegedly duping the company to the tune of Rs. 80 lakh. He forced vendors to participate in inflated invoicing by threatening to cut them off from the deal if they didn’t cooperate. Singh allegedly charged his commission from the vendors in cash.

A case was registered by the police but no arrests were made. The accused was booked under relevant sections of the IPC for cheating and criminal breach of trust. A. Singh had been working with the company from 2012 to 2018 and was in charge of placing orders for cricket-related merchandise from pre-decided vendors.
