DELHI CINEMAS ORDERED TO SHUT DOWN | 13 March, 2020

The Delhi government announced on 12th March that cinemas in the capital city would remain shut with immediate effect. The closure, which began today (13th March), will go on till 31st March. The authorities have taken this as a precautionary measure due to the coronavirus scare in India. There have been reports of some coronavirus cases in different cities of the country.

Before the Delhi administration, the Kerala government on 10th March ordered cinemas to remain shut till the month-end. Cinemas in Jammu also closed down from 11th March and will remain shut till 31st March. The Haryana government is also likely to order cinema closure till the end of the month.
