FILM SHOOTINGS CONTINUE DESPITE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK | 13 March, 2020

Although cinemas in many states have been ordered to be shut down in view of the coronavirus outbreak in India, film shootings are going on. The Indian Motion Picture Priducers’ Association (IMPPA) and the Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) have asked producers to maintain hygiene on the sets while shooting. The IFTDA is also contemplating distributing masks to workers and technicians.

Birendra Nath Tiwari, president of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), is of the opinion that film shootings should be cancelled in view of the safety of human lives. But a decision of cancellation of shootings has not been taken so far.
