The Multiplex Association of India has made a complete plan for cinemas across India to ensure that enhanced safety measures and precautions are taken by cinemas when they reopen after the lockdown is lifted. These include regular disinfecting of all possible areas of the cinema premises, observing the accepted social distancing rules while selling tickets as well as while allocating seats in the auditorium to patrons, observing cleanliness and hygiene, taking precautions while selling tickets and food and beverages etc. Cinema staff will also be trained to maintain personal hygiene and employ sanitisation measures for cinemas. All cinema employees will take care that minimum personal contact is made with patrons.
The stringent measures will be observed for the first two months of operations and reviewed thereafter.
