FilMe has signed a deal with Gulf’s retail giant, Lulu, to exclusively release and sell films through its hypermarkets. FilMe has introduced a direct-streaming viewing method similar to the calling cards which are available at checkout stations of the markets. One can watch films à la carte (pay per view) by scanning a QR code using a phone camera. There is no need of monthly or annual subscription or app download.
FilMe had recently acquired Tamil super-hit Master and premiered it within 15 days from its theatrical release, making it available to buyers of the FilMe card.
