POLLING OFFICIAL REPLACED AFTER SELFIE WITH ACTRESS | 19 April, 2021

A polling officer was replaced by the Election Commission after he clicked selfies with Trinamool MP and actress Mimi Chakraborty on 17th April. Mimi reached the booth at Panda Para Junior Basic School in Jalpaiguri (in Bengal) on 17th with her bodyguards to cast her vote. Despite her warning to the polling officer, he went ahead and clicked selfies with her. She actually told him that if he clicked pictures with her, both, she and he, would lose their jobs. No sooner did the polling officer click the selfies on his mobile phone than the BJP lodged a complaint. The district returning officer immediately replaced the polling official.
