Actor and MNM leader Kamal Haasan on 20th April expressed lack of faith in the Election Commission of India and demanded that it strictly enforced the rules and regulations to prevent entry of unauthorised persons and vehicles into the premises of the strong rooms where the electronic voting machines (EVMs) were kept. He submitted a petition to chief electoral officer of Tamil Nadu, Satyabrata Sahoo, at the secretariat, in which he lamented that CCTVs at the counting centres were not functioning properly.
