COURT QUESTIONS SUPPLY OF MEDICINES TO SONU SOOD | 28 May, 2021

The Bombay high court yesterday (27th May) told the state to proceed with the inquiry into the illegal supply of Remdesivir medicine to Sonu Sood’s Sood Charity Foundation and MLA Zeeshan Siddique (on right in picture). The court was informed that action had been initiated and that both had said that they neither purchased nor stocked the medicine for treatment of COVID-19 but played the role of facilitator. The two explained that they had got the supplies from the manufacturers who, incidentally, had since been issued notices.

On their part, the manufacturers told the Centre that they had not directly supplied to any party including politicians and celebrities.
