VIKAS BAHL CLEARED OF SEXUAL MISCONDUCT CHARGES | 1 June, 2019

Director Vikas Bahl, who was accused of sexual misconduct by a former employee of Phantom Films (in which he was a partner), has been cleared of all charges following an internal inquiry by Reliance Entertainment which held a 50% stake in Phantom. With this Vikas name will appear as director of Super 30. Following the accusations, he had been asked to step down from the director’s post.

Vikas has already filed defamation suits against partners Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane who had given comments to the media about Vikas’ alleged sexual wrong-doings.

A woman employee of Phantom had in 2017 accused Vikas of sexual harassment on a trip to Goa in 2015. The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Reliance Entertainment probed the allegations and arrived at the finding that Vikas was innocent. The complainant never appeared before the ICC.

Hrithik Roshan, the hero of Super 30, had tweeted soon after Vikas’ name had cropped up in the sexual harassment allegations, that he could not work with such a person. Following that, Vikas was asked to leave the film. The trailer of Super 30 will be out shortly – with the name of Vikas Bahl as director
