Singapore’s Jungle Ventures, one of the largest independent early and growth-stage venture capital firms, has invested an undisclosed amount in Tarun Katial’s upcoming venture, Eve World, a woman-only platform. Katial was earlier the CEO of Zee5. He has now started investing in media and consumer technology companies.
Eve World is designed to be the first of its kind, which will empower women to create content and form communities. It will also offer commerce opportunities.
To begin with, Eve World, with headquarters in Singapore, will have operations across India, the Middle East and Indonesia. The platform is expected to be launched in the next quarter.
Katial’s former colleagues from Zee5 — Aparna Acharekar and Rajneel Kumar — are co-founders of Eve World.
