Blank could not do well at the box-office in its first week. It started very slow, picked up slightly during the weekend but crashed during the weekdays. It opened with a net collection of Rs. 0.65 crore. Collections inÂcreased to Rs. 0.95 crore on SaturÂday, and further to Rs. 1.35 crore on Sunday. Hence its total for the first weekend was a paltry Rs. 2.95 crore. Collections during the weekdays were plain poor: Monday – Rs. 0.40 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.30 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.25 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.22 crore. By adding Rs. 1.17 crore to the kitty in the weekdays, the film took its total for the first week to a dull Rs. 4.12 crore.
Setters failed miserably in 1st week all over. At most of the places, it was discontinued either mid-week or after a week’s run.
1978 met with a disastrous fate in the first week all over.
Avengers: Endgame (dubbed) and the English original of the same name fell by around 71% but it still managed a fantastic net collection of Rs. 77.95 crore in the second week. It netted Rs. 12.50 crore on the first day of the second weekend. Collections jumped to Rs. 18.30 crore on SaturÂday, and to Rs. 21.75 crore on SunÂday. In this way, the film netted Rs. 52.55 crore in the second weekend. Collections dropped quite dramatically from Monday with the onset of Ramzan. The figures during the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 8.25 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 6.75 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 5.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 4.90 crore. In other words, it added Rs. 25.40 crore during the weekdays, taking its second week’s total to Rs. 77.95 crore. In this way, its total for 2 weeks was a phenomenal Rs. 338.35 crore. By joining the 300-crore club on the 10th day, it became the first Hollywood film to do so.
Kalank is in its last lap after its collÂections dropped to rock-bottom levels in 3rd week. It could add only Rs. 1.25 crore during the third week, taking its 3-week total to Rs. 81.08 crore.
The Tashkent Files continued its victory march in 4th week too. Its slow start nothwitstanding, it has grown from strength to strength and has managed a total of Rs. 14.35 crore at the end of 4 weeks. It collected Rs. 1.75 crore during the fourth weekend, and another Rs. 1.15 crore during the weekdays. By adding Rs. 2.90 crore in the fourth week to its kitty, it took its 4-week total to Rs. 14.39 crore.
