Actor Hemant Birje, his wife and daughter suffered minor injuries in a car accident on the night of 11th January around 8 p.m. on the Bombay-Pune Expressway near Urse, about 30 kms. from Pune. They were taken to a private hospital near Talegaon Dabhade. Hemant told the police that he was at the wheel and had lost control of the car as he dozed off. The car hit the divider near the Urse toll plaza.
