Salman Khan has filed a short cause civil suit against his Panvel farmhouse neighbour, Ketan Kakkad, and others in the city civil court for interim orders to restrain them from making “false, disparaging and defamatory allegations in videos/posts/tweets” which, the actor claimed, were causing him and his family members grave harm, loss and prejudice.
The actor’s lawyer sought urgent ad interim relief on January 14. However, Kakkad’s lawyers opposed the plea while the lawyers of the other accused sought time to take instructions and file their replies as, according to them, the copy of the plaint was served on them only on January 13.
The court of additional sessions judge Anil Laddha adjourned the hearing to January 20. He directed the defendants to file their replies by then.
