IBRAHIM ASHQ SUCCUMBS TO CORONAVIRUS | 16 January, 2022

COVID-19 has claimed yet another life in Bollywood. Noted lyricist, writer and poet Ibrahim Ashq, known for writing several gems, died of the Coronavirus today (16th January) around 4 p.m. in Bombay. He was 69 years old.

Among the films he penned lyrics for are Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai, Koi… Mil Gaya, Krrish, Bombay To Bangkok, Black & White, Welcome, Aetbaar, Janasheen etc. He was also a poet of repute. Ibrahim Ashq had acted in a TV serial as Ghalib. The serial was penned by Ashq himself.

Ibrahim Ashq, who was born in Multanpura (Mandsaur district, Madhya Pradesh), had started his career as a journalist. He had worked in Daily Indore Samachar newspaper, followed by Shama, Sushma and Sarita magazines.
