Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri seems to have landed himself in the midst of a controversy over his remark that Bhopalis are assumed to be homosexuals because of the Nawabi desires and fantasies, in a media interview. The clip with this comment has gone viral. The The Kashmir Files director said that he was from Bhopal but never called himself a Bhopali because of the homosexual connotation attached to the term.
Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh has called out Agnihotri for his remark. He said, he had been in Bhopal since years but had never felt so. He added that that could be Vivek’s experience because “wherever you stay, there’s always an influence of the company you keep”.
