The home ministry on 15th April ordered Bangladeshi actor Ferdous Ahmed to leave the country as he had campaigned for the Trinamool Congress in Raiganj on 14th April. Ferdous left India on 16th.

On 18th, the Union home ministry directed Bangladeshi actor Ghazi Abdul Noor to leave the country immediately for violating visa norms. Noor’s visa had expired on July 6, 2018. It was also alleged that Noor was campaigning for a TMC candidate. However, TMC minister Madan Mitra said, Noor had taken a lift in his car but did not say a word in favour of any TMC candidate.
