A sessions court in Bombay recently dismissed a plea against Akshay Kumar and the makers of Airlift (2016), alleging misrepresentation of facts and defaming those actually involved the airlifting operation on which the film is based. “No interference is required in trial (magistrate) court’s judgement,” the sessions court said, adding, “Thus, on cautious scrutiny of evidence on record, court has inferred that complaint was rightly rejected.”
