The Enforcement Directorate has sought details from the police, the Lucknow Development Authority and the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority regarding complaints and cases filed with them in Lucknow against the Ansals and their group. Police said, the ED would probe the allegations of money laundering against the owners of Uphaar cinema in Delhi, in which many persons died when the cinema caught fire during a show of Border in June 1997.
The cinema owners, Sushil Ansal and Gopal Ansal, are serving their jail terms in the cinema fire tragedy case.
