A group of IIT (BHU) students in Varanasi may land in trouble for dancing to the tunes of Bollywood and Bhojpuri item songs after the national flag was hoisted on the varsity campus on Independence Day (15th August). IIT (BHU) director Prof. P.K. Jain asked the dean of the students-led disciplinary and punishment committee of the institute to probe the matter.
The videos, which went viral, showed a large number of students dancing on songs like Tinku jiya on the IIT (BHU) gymkhana ground.
