Stand-up comic and actor Raju Srivastava lost his battle for life as he breathed his last this morning (21st September). He had been admitted to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi on 10th August after experiencing chest pain and collapsing while working out in the gymnasium. He was 58 years old.
Raju had become critical soon after hospitalisation. Days later, his doctors gave his family and fans a ray of hope when they announced that his condition was stabilising. But the man who made the world laugh with his wit and humour, left them crying as he failed to continue his battle with death beyond 41 days.
Besides doing stand-up comedy, he had featured in films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya, Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon and several others.
