Gold Cinema opened a new two-screen multiplex in Silchar (Assam) on 14th June. Jayanta Malla Baruah, guardian minister of Cachar, cabinet minister, government of Assam, and Parimal Suklabaidya, cabinet minister, government of Assam, did the honours. The multiplex is located in Goldighi Mall.
The first auditorium has 82 seats (22 recliners, 60 push-back seats) while the second auditorium has 186 seats.
This multiplex is the first 3D cinema in Silchar. With the latest launching, Gold Cinema now has a total of 60 screens across nine states.
