All the films of this week, including Akshay Kumar starrer MISSION RANIGANJ, Rajshri’s DONO (released on Thursday, October 5) and the very bold THANK YOU FOR COMING, opened to poor houses.
Fukrey 3 did reasonably well in the first week. It netted Rs. 8.82 crore on the first day (Thursday, September 28). Collections on Friday fell to Rs. 7.50 crore. Saturday saw collections soar to Rs. 11.67 crore. The Sunday figure of Rs. 15.18 crore took the first 4-day weekend’s total to Rs. 43.17 crore. Collections on Monday (October 2 holiday) were impressive at Rs. 11.69 crore so that the 5-day extended weekend closed at Rs. 54.86 crore. The totals for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday were Rs. 4.11 crore, Rs. 3.62 crore and Rs. 3.12 crore respectively. In this way, the total for the three weekdays was Rs. 10.85 crore. Hence the first 8-day week closed at Rs. 65.71 crore.
The Vaccine War performed poorly in 1st week all over. The public did not even give the COVID-19 vaccine film a chance because most of the people did not want to revisit the horrifying pandemic days.
Dvand: The Internal Conflict met with a disastrous fate in 1st week.
Skanda (dubbed) failed to make any mark at the box-office in the first week.
Chandramukhi 2 (dubbed) flopped in the first week.
Mark Antony (dubbed) proved to be a debacle in 1st week.
Jawan ruled the box-office in the fourth week too, crossing the Rs. 600-crore mark in the weekend itself! Its fourth weekend started with a take of Rs. 5.05 crore (Hindi Rs. 4.90 crore, dubbed Rs. 0.15 crore). Collections increased to Rs. 8.46 crore on Saturday — Hindi Rs. 8.27 crore, dubbed Rs. 0.19 crore. The total for Sunday was Rs. 9.38 crore (Hindi Rs. 9.12 crore, dubbed Rs. 0.26 crore). Hence the fourth weekend closed at Rs. 22.89 crore (Hindi Rs. 22.29 crore, dubbed Rs. 0.60 crore). The film, therefore, crossed the Rs. 600-crore mark in the fourth weekend as its grand total went up to Rs. 607.21 crore (Hindi Rs. 547.81 crore, dubbed Rs. 59.40 crore). Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 6.85 crore (Hindi Rs. 6.65 crore, dubbed Rs. 0.20 crore), Tuesday – Rs. 2.05 crore (Hindi Rs. 1.95 crore, dubbed Rs. 0.10 crore), Wednesday – Rs. 1.95 crore (Hindi Rs. 1.86 crore, dubbed Rs. 0.09 crore), Thursday – Rs. 1.79 crore (Hindi Rs. 1.71 crore, dubbed Rs. 0.08 crore). Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 12.64 crore (Hindi Rs. 12.17 crore, dubbed Rs. 0.47 crore). In this way, the total for 4th week was Rs. 35.53 crore (Hindi Rs. 34.46 crore, dubbed Rs. 1.07 crore). Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 619.85 crore (Hindi Rs. 559.98 crore, dubbed Rs. 59.87 crore).
The Nun II (dubbed and the original English versions) netted Rs. 1.04 crore in the fourth weekend, and another Rs. 0.87 crore during the weekdays. In this way, the total for 4th week was Rs. 1.91 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 43.24 crore.
Teen Adkun Sitaram (Marathi) fared miserably in 1st week all over Maharashtra.
