Yash Raj Films’ Tiger 3 has been cleared by the CBFC with a ‘UA’ certificate. The film has a running time of 156 minutes (2 hours and 36 minutes). The first half has a duration of 1 hour, 10 minutes, 33 seconds while the second half has a running time of 1 hour, 25 minutes, 27 seconds.
The CBFC certificate, dated 27th October, shows a running time of 153.38 minutes (2 hours, 33 minutes, 38 seconds) instead of 156 minutes. That’s because an additional scene of a running time of 2 minutes and 22 seconds was included by the producers later (after the certificate was issued), for which an endorsement was obtained from the CBFC. Hence the actual running time of the film after the additional scene is now 156 minutes. The CBFC certificate number is DIL/2/506/2023-MUM.
The insertions/excisions/modifications carried out by the producers, as suggested by the CBFC, are:
(i) the word ‘bewakoof’ has been replaced with ‘mashroof’, and ‘foolish’ with ‘busy’;
(ii) modification with respect to the National Anthem is retained as per request;
(iii) the mention of ‘RAW’ has been modified as ‘R and AW’ wherever it occurs, including in subtitles.
The above alterations have not resulted in any change in the duration of the film.
