Actor Sahil Khan petitioned the Bombay high court to quash an FIR lodged against him at Matunga police station in Bombay in the Mahadev betting app case. The first informant alleged that Sahil was a partner in a company linked to the case. The actor’s plea is that the FIR and proceedings emanating from it be dropped and, as an interim relief, the FIR be stayed and no corrective action be taken against him.
The sessions court in Bombay last week dismissed his pre-arrest bail plea. The FIR lists 31 persons as accused, of which four were summoned for investigation, by the crime branch. Sahil Khan is one of the four persons summoned. The matter was posted for further hearing on February 22, 2024.
