Released last week in C.P. Berar (at Raipur and Bilaspur), Vijay Productions’ Rakshanam (UA) is an action film. It is about a saviour who takes on the evil men.
Desu Vivek Narayana has written such a routine story and screenplay that every scene looks clichéd. His dialogues are commonplace.
The actors look like wannables. Mann Quraishi, Lovely Arundhati, Kalkeya Prabhakar, Deepak Gangwani and all the others are so dull that the already insipid drama further loses steam.
Desu Vivek Narayana’s direction is pathetic. Dr. Ravi Patel’s music is terrible. Naveen Challa’s camerawork is ordinary. Ram Sunkarra’s action and stunts are routine but they would appeal to front-benchers. Eshwar Kureti’s art direction is functional. Basava’s editing is loose.
On the whole, Rakshanam is a flop fare.
