Laal Kaptaan met with a disastrous fate in the very first week. If its start was poor, its collections thereafter were no better. It opened with a net collection of Rs. 0.50 crore. Collections on Saturday went up only marginally, to Rs. 0.60 crore. The figure for Sunday was the same, Rs. 0.60 crore, which sealed the film’s fate if it was not already sealed. After a weekend total of Rs. 1.70 crore, collections dipped to Rs. 0.23 crore on Monday. Collections on the remaining days of the week were as follows: Tuesday – Rs. 0.18 crore, Wednesday – 0.14 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.11 crore. By adding Rs. 0.66 crore to its kitty in the weekdays, it took its total for the first week to Rs. 2.36 crore only.

Ghost also fared poorly in the first week. It started on a rather dull note by netting Rs. 0.30 crore on Friday. Collections increased by Rs. 10 lakh on Saturday and another Rs. 10 lakh over Saturday’s total, on Sunday. In other words, the film netted Rs. 0.40 crore on Saturday, and Rs. 0.50 crore on Sunday. Hence its total for the first weekend was Rs. 1.20 crore only. The collections for the weekdays were worse: Monday – Rs. 0.20 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.16 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.11 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.09 crore. In this way, the film collected Rs. 0.56 crore in the weekdays and took its total for the first week to Rs. 1.76 crore.

P Se Pyaar F Se Farraar recorded miserable collections in the first week all over.

Hashtag Yaaram proved to be a disaster in the first week.

Jacqueline I Am Coming proved to be a debacle in the first week.

Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil (dubbed) and its English original of the same name did average business in the first week. It collected Rs. 0.70 crore on Friday. Collections almost doubled to Rs. 1.35 crore on Saturday, and went up to Rs. 1.60 crore on Sunday, taking its total for the first weekend to Rs. 3.65 crore. Collections during the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.50 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.40 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.35 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.35 crore. By netting Rs. 1.60 crore in the weekdays, its total for the first week went up to Rs. 5.25 crore.

The Sky Is Pink faced a fall of more than 70% in 2nd week. It started the second weekend by collecting Rs. 0.70 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday and Sunday were Rs. 1.15 crore and Rs. 1.40 crore respectively so that the second weekend’s total went up to Rs. 3.25 crore. Collections during the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.55 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.42 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.38 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.30 crore. By netting Rs. 1.65 crore in the weekdays, the second week’s total went up to Rs. 4.90 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 20.15 crore.

War collected Rs. 21.35 crore in the third week. The third weekend started with a take of Rs. 3.05 crore (for the Hindi and dubbed versions combined). Collections increased to Rs. 4.70 crore on Saturday, and even more, to Rs. 6 crore on Sunday. In this way, the film netted Rs. 13.75 crore in the third weekend. Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 2.25 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.95 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.80 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.60 crore. By adding Rs. 7.60 crore to its kitty in the weekdays, it took its third week’s total to Rs. 21.35 crore. The break-up: Hindi version – Rs. 19.85 crore, dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions – Rs. 1.50 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 309.35 crore. Breakup: Hindi version – Rs. 295 crore, dubbed versions – Rs. 14.35 crore. This is the third YRF film to cross the Rs. 300-crore mark, the earlier two being Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.

Dream Girl collected Rs. 0.95 crore in the sixth weekend, and Rs. 0.65 crore in the weekdays. By adding Rs. 1.60 crore to its kitty in the sixth week, the film took its grand total for 6 weeks to Rs. 140.35 crore.

Chhichhore added Rs. 0.38 crore to its kitty in the seventh weekend, and Rs. 0.22 crore in the weekdays. In other words, its total for 7th week was Rs. 0.60 crore. Grand total for 7 weeks: Rs. 147.61 crore.

Rom Com (Marathi) failed to make any mark at the box-office in the first week in Bombay, Thane district and other centres of Maharashtra.

Pagalpanti did not get much public patronage as the comedy failed to truly entertain. It netted Rs. 5 crore on the opening day, considered low. Collections picked up on Saturday (Rs. 6.30 crore) and more on Sunday (Rs. 8.20 crore). But after a weekend total of Rs. 19.50 crore, collections kept on dropping during the weekdays: Monday – Rs. 2.50 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.35 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 2.05 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.75 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 8.65 crore, the film took its total for the first week to Rs. 28.15 crore. The distributors are expected to lose around Rs. 25 crore.

Dosti Zindabad bombed miserably in the first week.

Remember Amnesia (English) fared so badly in the first week that it would be best forgotten.

Frozen II (animation, dubbed) and the English original of the same name did quite well in 1st week. It started fairly well by collecting Rs. 3.50 crore on Friday. Collections doubled on Saturday (Rs. 7 crore). The total on Sunday was an even more impressive Rs. 8.50 crore. After a weekend total of Rs. 19 crore, collections during the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 1.75 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.55 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.50 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 6.30 crore. The grand total for the first week, therefore, was Rs. 25.30 crore.

Marjaavaan dropped markedly in its second week, as expected. It netted Rs. 1.10 crore on the first day of the second weekend. Collections on Saturday and Sunday were Rs. 1.55 crore and Rs. 2.15 crore respectively. The total for the second weekend, therefore, was Rs. 4.80 crore. Collections during the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.90 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.90 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.75 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.70 crore. By adding Rs. 3.25 crore to its kitty in the weekdays, it took its total for the second week to Rs. 8.05 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 45.92 crore.

Bala added Rs. 7.07 crore to its kitty in the third weekend by collecting Rs. 1.35 crore on Friday, Rs. 2.50 crore on Saturday, and Rs. 3.22 crore on Sunday. The film netted Rs. 4.15 crore in the weekdays, thereby taking its total for the third week to Rs. 11.22 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 110.01 crore.

Housefull 4 netted Rs. 1.03 crore in the fifth week, taking its grand total for 5 weeks to Rs. 202.95 crore.

The increase on Sunday was not much as the film collected Rs. 7.77 crore. In this way, it netted Rs. 20.04 crore in the first weekend. Collections during the weekdays were also good: Monday – Rs. 3.97 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 3.67 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 3.48 crore, Thurs­day – Rs. 3 crore. In other words, the film collected Rs. 14.12 crore in the weekdays. The first week’s total was an impressive Rs. 34.16 crore.

Noblemenwas a non-starter in the first week.

Annabelle Comes Home (dub­bed) and the English original of the same name, which opened on Thurs­day, did fairly well in the first six days but collections dropped quite a bit as the 8-day week came to a close. It netted Rs. 3.25 crore on the first day (Thursday). Collections showed a rise on Friday (Rs. 4 crore) and Saturday (Rs. 5.60 crore). The figure for Sunday was Rs. 5.10 crore. The first weekend, therefore, closed at Rs. 17.95 crore. Collections during the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 2.30 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.90 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.10 crore. By adding Rs. 7.30 crore to its kitty in the weekdays, the film took its total for the first week to Rs. 25.25 crore.

Kabir Singh continued its sweep in the second week too and joined the Rs. 200-crore club on day 13. It collected a fantastic Rs. 12.21 crore on the first day of the second week­end. Collections shot up to Rs. 17.10 crore on Saturday, and to Rs. 17.84 crore on Sunday. Hence, the total for the second weekend was a phenomenal Rs. 47.15 crore. Collections on the weekdays were also excellent: Monday – Rs. 9.07 crore. Tuesday – Rs. 8.31 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 7.53 crore, Thursday – Rs. 6.72 crore. In other words, it added Rs. 31.63 crore in the weekdays and took its 2nd week’s total to Rs. 78.78 crore. Its grand total for 2 weeks was Rs. 213.20 crore.

There’s no major release this week. All the releases of last week fared miserably at the box-office. Hence, CHHICHHORE and DREAM GIRL are having dream runs at the ticket windows.

Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas met with a dismal fate in 1st week. It started on a bad note when it collected only Rs. 1.15 crore on the first day. Collections increased by only Rs. 20 lakh on Saturday so that the day closed at Rs. 1.35 crore. Collections on Sunday also were pathetic (Rs. 1.65 crore). After a weekend of Rs. 4.15 crore, collections on the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.60 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.55 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.45 crore. By adding Rs. 2.10 crore to its kitty in the weekdays, the film took its first week’s total to Rs. 6.25 crore. It will entail huge losses to all concerned.

Prassthanam has turned out to be a debacle. It started on a miserable note and ended likewise. Its first day closed at Rs. 0.75 crore. Collections increased to Rs. 0.85 crore on Saturday and further to Rs. 1.15 crore on Sunday. In fact, Sunday was the only day when it touched/crossed the crore-mark. Therefore, its first weekend closed at Rs. 2.75 crore. Collections during the weekdays were no better: Monday – Rs. 0.45 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.40 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.35 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.30 crore. In this way, the film netted only Rs. 1.50 crore in the weekdays. The first week, therefore, closed at Rs. 4.25 crore.

The Zoya Factor was the worst of the lot of last week’s films. It collected less than Rs. 1 crore on each single day of the first week. It started off with Rs. 0.70 crore on day 1. Collections increased by Rs. 10 lakh only, on Saturday so that the second day closed at Rs. 0.80 crore. The total for Sunday was also only Rs. 0.80 crore. In this way, the first weekend closed at Rs. 2.30 crore. Collections thereafter were horrifyingly poor: Monday – Rs. 0.20 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.15 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.15 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.10 crore. By netting only Rs. 0.60 crore in the weekdays, the film took its first week’s total to Rs. 2.90 crore. Total loss!

Rambo: Last Blood (dubbed) and the English original of the same name fared poorly in its first week. Its first day closed at Rs. 0.90 crore. Collections on Saturday and Sunday were Rs. 1.10 crore and Rs. 1.25 crore respectively so that the first weekend closed at Rs. 3.25 crore. Collections on the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.40 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.35 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.30 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.30 crore. Hence it added Rs. 1.35 crore to its kitty in the weekdays. In this way, its first week closed at Rs. 4.60 crore.

Dream Girl had a fantastic second week also. It joined the Rs. 100-crore club on the eleventh day. The second weekend started off very well, with the film netting Rs. 5.30 crore on the first day. Collections increased by 70% on the second day of the second weekend! After a total of Rs. 9.10 crore on Saturday, collections increased by another 21% on Sunday when it ended at Rs. 11.05 crore. In this way, the film netted Rs. 25.45 crore in its second weekend. Collections during the weekdays were also pretty good: Monday – Rs. 3.75 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 3.30 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 3.10 crore, Thursday – Rs. 3 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 13.15 crore, its total for 2nd week was Rs. 38.60 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 110.80 crore.

Section 375 netted Rs. 1.90 crore in its second week. Its total for 2 weeks was, therefore, Rs. 10.40 crore.

Chhichhore continued its victory march in the third week also. It started the third weekend with a collection of Rs. 3 crore on Friday. Collections increased to Rs. 5.25 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 6.75 crore on Sunday. After a third weekend of Rs. 15 crore, the film netted as follows during the weekdays: Monday – Rs. 2.10 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.90 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.85 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.70 crore. By adding Rs. 7.55 crore to its kitty in the weekdays, the film took its third week’s total to Rs. 22.55 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 128.80 crore.

Commando 3 did reasonably well in the first week. As around 80-90% of the investment in the film had already been recovered from non-theatrical sources, it has proven to be a paying proposal for all concerned. It started on an average note but collections showed improvement in the evening and night shows on Friday so that the day ended at Rs. 4.74 crore. Collections picked up on Saturday which ended at Rs. 5.64 crore. The jump in collections on Sunday was even more so that the day closed at Rs. 7.95 crore. After a first weekend total of Rs. 18.33 crore, collections on the weekdays were steady at medium levels: Monday – Rs. 3.42 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 3.02 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 2.42 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2.03 crore. By adding Rs. 10.89 crore in the weekdays, the film took its total for the first week to Rs. 29.22 crore.

Yeh Saali Aashiqui bombed all over in the first week.

Collections increased on Saturday (Rs. 1.70 crore) and Sunday (Rs. 2.03 crore). In this way, the film netted Rs. 4.81 crore in the first weekend. Its collections during the weekdays were steady but on the lower side: Monday – Rs. 0.65 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.61 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.60 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.54 crore. The total for the weekdays, therefore, was Rs. 2.40 crore. In this way, the first week closed at Rs. 7.21 crore.

Pagalpanti crashed in the second week. It netted only Rs. 0.60 crore on the first day of the second weekend. Collections for Saturday and Sunday were Rs. 0.90 crore and Rs. 1.30 crore respectively. Resultantly, the second weekend closed at Rs. 2.80 crore. Bala collected Rs. 0.55 crore on the first day of its fourth weekend. Collections doubled to Rs. 1.10 crore on Saturday. The Sunday total was Rs. 1.50 crore. It, therefore, collected Rs. 3.15 crore in the fourth weekend. Collections during the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.40 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.40 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.38 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.32 crore. By adding Rs. 1.50 crore to its kitty in the weekdays, the film took its total for the fourth week to Rs. 4.65 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 114.66 crore.

Thappad started slow but collections jumped in the weekend and were steady at medium levels during the weekdays. Of course, the film has been appreciated by one section of the audience while being rejected by the masses and viewers in smaller centres. It netted Rs. 2.85 crore on the first day but positive word of mouth from a section of the audience saw collections increasing to Rs. 4.65 crore on Saturday. The jump on Sunday was even more pronounced as the day closed at Rs. 6.50 crore. After a weekend of Rs. 14 crore, collections during the weekdays, were decent: Monday – Rs. 1.90 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.90 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.65 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.50 crore. By netting Rs. 6.95 crore in the weekdays, the film took its total for the first week to Rs. 20.95 crore. The film, which was made at an investment of Rs. 19 crore, recovered around Rs. 34 crore from sale of digital and satellite rights only. Besides the profit of Rs. 15 crore prior to release, the entire theatrical share (Rs. 10.50 crore in the first week) would go towards further profit.

‘O’ Pushpa I Hate Tears fared so poorly in the first week that the collections could only induce the much-hated tears from the eyes of those connected with it.

Doordarshan turned out to be a major debacle in 1st week everywhere.

Guns Of Banaras faced rejection in the 1st week all over.

Cookie did not go down well with the audience in 1st week.

Rizwan had hardly any takers in the first week.

Careless was given the thumbs down in the 1st week as the paying public simply couldn’t care less for the film.

Collections increased to Rs. 2.85 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 3.50 crore on Sunday, taking the second weekend’s total to Rs. 8.20 crore. Collections in the weekdays were very low: Monday – Rs. 1.05 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.85 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.80 crore. By netting Rs. 3.70 crore in the weekdays, the film took its total for 2nd week to Rs. 11.90 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 54.70 crore.

Bhoot Part One – The Haunted Ship crashed in the second week. The second weekend started at Rs. 0.95 crore on Friday but collections increased to Rs. 1.50 crore on Saturday, and Rs. 1.85 crore on Sunday. Hence it netted Rs. 4.30 crore in the second weekend. Collections during the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.65 crore, Tuesday Rs. 0.65 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.55 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.55 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 2.40 crore. By netting Rs. 6.70 crore in 2nd week, the film took its total for 2 weeks to Rs. 30.88 crore.

Malang added Rs. 0.80 crore to its kitty in the fourth weekend, and another Rs. 0.55 crore in the weekdays, taking its total for the fourth week to Rs. 1.35 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 55.65 crore.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior added Rs. 0.85 crore to its kitty in the eighth weekend, and Rs. 0.40 crore in the weekdays. Therefore, its total for the eighth week was Rs. 1.25 crore. Grand total for 8 weeks: Rs. 262.50 crore.

Jai Mummy Di proved a box-office disaster in the first week. Although a comedy, it anything but made the audience laugh. It collected Rs. 0.45 crore on the first day, Rs. 0.55 crore on the second day, and Rs. 0.60 crore on Sunday. Collections slid down to almost ground level in the weekdays, after a weekend of only Rs. 1.60 crore. It netted Rs. 0.20 crore on each of Monday and Tuesday, and Rs. 0.15 crore on each of Wednesday and Thursday, thereby taking its total for the weekdays to just Rs. 0.70 crore. Bunker bombed miserably in the first week everywhere.

Dolittle (dubbed) and the English original of the same name did average business in the first weekend but dropped in the weekdays. It collected Rs. 1.20 crore on Friday. Collections increased by 50% on Saturday so that the day closed at Rs. 1.80 crore. Collection on Sunday was Rs. 1.90 crore, giving a weekend total of Rs. 4.90 crore. Collections during the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.40 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.35 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.35 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.35 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 1.45 crore, the first week’s total went up to Rs. 6.35 crore.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior did extraordinarily well in its second week too. It started the second weekend with a total of Rs. 10 crore on Friday. Collections jumped to Rs. 16 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 21 crore on Sunday, taking the second weekend’s total to Rs. 47 crore. The collections on the weekdays were also fantastic: Monday – Rs. 7.75 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 7 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 6.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 6.35 crore. In this way, it netted Rs. 27.60 crore in the weekdays. The second week’s total, therefore, was an astounding Rs. 74.60 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 189.60 crore.

Chhapaak collected Rs. 0.75 crore on the first day of the second weekend. It netted Rs. 1.25 crore on Saturday, and Rs. 1.45 crore on Sunday, taking the second weekend’s total to Rs. 3.45 crore. Collections in the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.45 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.45 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.35 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.40 crore. By netting Rs. 1.65 crore in the weekdays, the film took its second week’s total to Rs. 5.10 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 31 crore.

Good Newwz entered the Rs. 200-crore club in the fourth week. It collected Rs. 3.60 crore in the fourth weekend, and Rs. 2.20 crore in the weekdays. In this way, it netted Rs. 5.80 crore in the fourth week. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 201.01 crore.
