The Lakshadweep police yesterday (20th June) questioned actress-filmmaker and social activist Aisha Sultana in connection with the sedition case registered against her for her comment that a bio-weapon was used against the people of the archipelago. She made the comment during a debate on a television news channel.
According to Sultana, the investigators were cordial and they asked her to stay back for four more days. “The questioning was mostly centred around the word ‘bio-weapon’,” she revealed. The investigators assured Aisha that there wouldn’t be an arrest.
