Actor Ashiesh Roy breathed his last at his home in Bombay today (24th November). His end came round 3.45 a.m. He was 55. He will be cremated today around 7 p.m. after his siter reaches Bombay from Calcutta. He had been suffering from a kidney ailment and had been unwell during the lockdown too. He had been hospitalised in May this year. His kidney troubles necessitated him to undergo dialysis once every two weeks. Fighting both, physical and financial problems, Ashiesh had been in dire straits all through the pandemic lockdown. He ultimately bid adieu today at his residence. In May, actor Sooraj Thapar and filmmaker Hansal mehta had tried to raise money for Ashiesh’s treatment.
Ashiesh was not just a fine actor, he was also a noted voice over artiste. Among the films Ashiesh had acted in were Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero, Home Delivery, Barkhaa,Raja Natwarlal and Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar. He used to also dub for Hollywood films. He was very well known for his role in TV show Sasural Simar Ka, Rishta Sajhedari Ka, Banegi Apni Baat, Shakalaka Boom Boom, Baa Bahu Aur Baby, Remix, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, Jeannie Aur Juju, Tu Mere Agal Bagal Hai, Goldie Ahuja Matric Pass, Mere Angne Mein, and Aarambh.
