A Bombay court on September 6 granted failed actor-producer Kamaal R. Khan bail in a 2021 molestation case registered against him by the Versova (Bombay) police. KRK, however, will remain in jail as his bail plea in the 2020 case of controversial tweets about Akshay Kumar and Ram Gopal Varma is still pending before the Borivli (Bombay) magistrate court.
KRK was arrested from the Bombay international airport on August 30 over the alleged derogatory tweets and sent to judicial custody by the Borivli magistrate court. The Versova police on September 4 took his custody in the molestation case, and he was produced before the Bandra (Bombay) court.
