Some Bajrang Dal volunteers opposed the entry of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain today (6th September) to show their displeasure over Ranbir’s recent utterances about beef, which had allegedly hurt their sentiments. The lead actors of Brahmastra and director Ayan Mukerji had gone to Ujjain to pray at the temple and to promote their forthcoming film. But before they could reach the temple, Bajrang Dal members started to create a ruckus outside the temple and shouted slogans against them, holding black flags.
Since the volunteers were adamant that they wouldn’t allow Ranbir and Alia to enter the temple, the two actors were taken to the Collector’s house for security reasons. The police beat up one unruly volunteer.
