The brother of Arjun Rampal’s live-in partner was arrested from Lonavala on 18th October in the drugs case related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) picked up Agisilaos Demetriades, a South African national, from an adventure resort, and recovered a small quantity of hashish and 15 strips of the banned Alprazolam tablets from his room. This was the 23rd arrest in the drugs case linked with Sushant’s death. He was produced before a special NDPS court which remanded him to police custody till today (19th). Simultaneously, NCB officials searched Agisilaos’ residence at Khar in Bombay in the presence of witnesses and his fiancee, and recovered one strip of Alprazolam.
The NCB had recorded his statement in the drugs case a fortnight back. According to the NCB, Demetriades had links with Sushant’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, her brother, Showik, Sushant’s staffer, Dipesh Sawant, and others who procured drugs for him.
